RUSHLIFT ATTAINS UKMHA FULL MEMBERSHIP AND PRESTIGIOUS AUDIT ACCREDITATION

November 27, 2023

Rushlift are pioneering higher standards on a national scale. By achieving audit accreditation status of the country’s foremost authority on all aspects of material handling equipment: the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA).

The company underwent a 100-point on site audit, created to ensure consistently high standards and compliance across areas of business operations including safety, health, environmental and risk management.

UKMHA Compliance Manager Lee Medway, who carried out the audit explains why the process is so important: “The audit is designed to give customers real peace of mind. As an audit accredited company, customers know that Rushlift has measured up to an industry-led health check, operates impressive health and safety policies and working practices.”

Accepting certification Paul Morley said: “We welcomed the UKMHA audit as an opportunity to further review our operations. It presented us with a welcome opportunity to stand back, take stock and work even more effectively on behalf of our customers.  Achieving audit accreditation helps eliminate customers’ risk of any weak link of traceability and accountability in their supply chain.”

The UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA) is the UK’s leading independent authority on all aspects of material handling equipment. It provides expert, independent information and advice on best practice to both owners and operators of handling equipment and those within the industry, including dealers, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers of ancillary equipment.

As members of the UKMHA, Rushlift abides by a stringent Code of Practice.  The Code is evidence that we are competent to offer expert advice and specify the most appropriate equipment.  It means we deliver robust prompt service support, carried out by fully trained engineers, use high quality parts and are backed by insurance cover of more than £5m.

Underpinning the Code of Practice is the UKMHA's rigorous Audit, developed specifically for the material handling industry. It is unlike many accreditations that use an on-line questionnaire.  Instead, a Compliance Manager from the UKMHA undertakes a physical on-site audit, to inspect more than 100 criteria, across areas of business operations including safety, health, environmental and risk management.
